Set of two spring bars for Rolex GMT-Master II reference 16760, in hardened Swiss Standard steel. Size: 20mm between the lugs. Pin 2.0mm. Drilled lugs. The 16760 is the first GMT-Master II in history, produced from 1983 to 1988 — nicknamed Fat Lady for the thicker case that distinguishes only this reference.
The 16760 introduced two revolutions: the Master II designation for the independent adjustment of the hour hand, and the bicolour Coke bezel (red-black). The case is taller than normal to accommodate the 3085 movement, hence Fat Lady. Drilled lugs and 2.0mm pins: the first-generation GMT II follows the vintage specification of the 1675/16750 family.

Are these spring bars compatible only with the 16760 or do they work on other GMT-Master II models?
Only on the original 16760. The 20mm lug width and 2.0mm pin size are specific to this reference. Subsequent GMT models (16710, 16760, 116710) have different lug geometries. If you’re unsure about your reference, check the numbers on the caseback.
Are all the drilled lugs on the 16760 identical, or do I need to be careful about how I install the pins?
The lugs have straight and symmetrical holes, so the pin enters from either side. The 2.0mm enters with pressure but without forcing: if you feel excessive resistance, check that the pin isn’t slightly bent. Two gentle taps and the pin snaps into place.
How long do these spring bars last before they wear out or lose tension?
Swiss Standard tempered steel lasts 8-12 years with regular use, then the pin begins to move slightly and the strap no longer sits perfectly in place. It’s not a failure, it’s natural wear. It depends on how often you put on and take off the strap.
If my 16760 pin breaks, can I use a universal 2.0mm replacement or do I need to buy the complete set?
A universal 2.0mm pin works in an emergency, but there’s a difference: the universal pin doesn’t have the same hardness and durability. Our set is built specifically for the Fat Lady’s drilled lugs, with tighter tolerances. If you break a pin, it’s worth replacing the entire set.
