Set of two spring bars for Rolex GMT-Master II reference 16710 solid lugs version, in hardened Swiss Standard steel. Size: 20mm between the lugs. Pin 1.5mm. Solid lugs. The 16710 is the GMT-Master II produced from 1989 to 2007 — solid lugs version for the 2003-2007 productions, the final phase before the 116710.
The 16710 shares the transitional fate of many Rolex references from the 2000s: early phase with drilled lugs, final phase with revised solid case. The solid version is less appreciated by vintage collectors but more practical for strap mounting — pin 1.5mm, closed cavity, modern standard removal. The late 16710s are excellent entry-points to vintage GMTs.

Are these spring bars compatible with my 16710 solid lugs?
Yes, they are specifically designed for the 16710 2003-2007 with solid lugs. The 1.5mm pin inserts into the closed lug slot without issues. If your 16710 has drilled lugs (early version), these are not suitable — you need a different diameter.
Can I use them on other Rolex watches or different brands?
Technically yes, if the watch has 20mm solid lugs with a 1.5mm diameter slot. However, they have been sized and tempered specifically for 16710 geometry, so I cannot guarantee the same fit on other references. It is best to verify before installation.
How do I remove them without scratching the case?
Use a dual-prong spring bar tool — position both prongs in the slot parallel to the bracelet and apply light inward pressure; the pin will release from the opposite side. Never force sideways, as the risk of slipping and scratching the case is high.
How long do they last before oxidizing or losing elasticity?
Swiss Standard tempered steel lasts for years if not exposed to highly humid or saline environments. Spring elasticity decreases over time — if the bracelet begins to move excessively after 4-5 years of daily use, it is time to replace them. The set pair is provided for this purpose.
