Set of two spring bars for Rolex Datejust 26 ladies in yellow gold, in hardened Swiss Standard steel. Size: 13mm between the lugs. Pin 1.8mm. Blind lugs. Compatible with all Datejust 26 yellow gold produced from the Seventies to today — references such as 6917, 6916, 69178, 79178, 179178.
The Datejust 26 gold is one of the most traditional pieces of the ladies line. 26mm case in 18kt gold, fluted bezel, dial with applied indices or batons. Narrow 13mm lugs — a geometry that requires dedicated spring bars, no standard 1.5mm pin fits this size. The steel pin on a gold case is the correct specification: 18kt gold does not withstand the cyclical loads of a strap.

Will these fit my Datejust 26 gold ref. 69178?
Yes. This set covers all yellow gold Datejust 26 models, from the 6917 and 6916 up to the 79178 and 179178. The lug width is always 13mm on these references.
Why can't I use standard 1.5mm spring bars?
The lugs on this model are narrow, 13mm, and the correct pin size is 1.8mm. A 1.5mm pin wobbles and doesn't hold securely. This case requires the dedicated size.
Are the spring bars gold like the case?
No, they are made of hardened Swiss Standard steel. This is the correct specification: the 18kt gold of the case cannot withstand the cyclical loads of a strap, but steel can.
How many spring bars are included?
The set consists of two spring bars, one for each lug. That's enough to fit a complete strap.
Do the closed lugs change anything about the fitting?
Closed lugs require spring bars with this precise geometry, including the 1.8mm pin. They are specifically designed to work on closed lugs like those of the Datejust 26 gold.
