Set of two spring bars for Rolex Datejust 26 ladies in yellow gold, in hardened Swiss Standard steel. Size: 13mm between the lugs. Pin 1.8mm. Blind lugs. Compatible with all Datejust 26 yellow gold produced from the Seventies to today — references such as 6917, 6916, 69178, 79178, 179178.
The Datejust 26 gold is one of the most traditional pieces of the ladies line. 26mm case in 18kt gold, fluted bezel, dial with applied indices or batons. Narrow 13mm lugs — a geometry that requires dedicated spring bars, no standard 1.5mm pin fits this size. The steel pin on a gold case is the correct specification: 18kt gold does not withstand the cyclical loads of a strap.

Does this 13mm spring bar fit other Rolex models or only Datejust 26?
Only Datejust 26 ladies yellow gold. The 13mm size is specific to this model — it is narrower than the standard 14mm or 15mm used on other Rolex watches. If you try to install it on a Submariner or GMT, the bracelet will move loosely in the lugs.
Can I use a standard 1.5mm spring bar instead of this 1.8mm?
No, it will not fit. The solid lugs on the Datejust 26 have a specific internal diameter — the 1.5mm pin is too thin and the spring bar will slip out on its own. You need the 1.8mm that we calibrated for this case.
I have a Datejust 26 from the 1990s — are these pins compatible?
Yes, compatible with all 26 yellow gold models from 1970 onwards. The case geometry has not changed, whether it is a vintage 6917 or a recent 179178. Only one thing: check that the lugs are not internally damaged, otherwise the spring bar will not hold securely.
Why do you use steel on a gold case? Won’t the pin oxidize?
Swiss Standard tempered steel does not oxidize unless left wet for days on end. Using solid gold would be pointless — the pin is internal and not visible, and steel is more rigid. If Rolex itself uses this, there is a reason.
