Spring bars Rolex 22mm × 1.8mm — universal
€12,95
Set of two 22mm × 1.8mm spring bars in hardened Swiss Standard steel. Universal version for Rolex cases and other watches with 22mm lugs. Standard geometry, compatible with most aftermarket straps in 22mm width. 1.8mm pin, suitable for both drilled and closed lugs provided the recess has the correct depth.
On 22mm, 1.8mm is the most common working diameter outside the pure Rolex standard. It works on all modern chronographs with wide lugs, Tudor Black Bay 41, Omega Seamaster Diver 300m, and several oversize vintage cases from the Seventies. A convenient size to always keep in the toolbox.
I use them when a client brings in a non-Rolex watch with 22mm lugs and an aftermarket strap.

Domande Frequenti
Does the 22×1.8mm really fit into a standard Rolex lug? I'm afraid of forcing it.
Yes, it fits, but it depends on the cavity depth. Rolex has used 1.8mm on many models for decades. There is zero risk if the cavity is clean and the pin slides with light pressure: if it shows strong resistance, the depth is insufficient and you risk bending the bar. Always test gently before pushing.
Does it work on watches other than Rolex? For example Omega or Tudor?
Yes, the 22×1.8 works on Tudor Black Bay 41, Omega Seamaster Diver 300M and many wide chronographs. The key is that the lugs actually have 22mm width and the cavity is at least 1.8mm deep. Verify the measurement with a caliper before ordering; each manufacturer has slightly different tolerances.
What’s the difference between a 22×1.8 and a 22×2mm? When should I use the 1.8?
The 1.8mm is the most common working diameter in the aftermarket for 22mm. The 2mm is rarer and typical of certain pure vintage Rolex models. If you’re outfitting aftermarket straps for a modern 22mm watch, the 1.8 is the right choice; if you’re working on a vintage original Rolex from the 1970s, check the cavity depth to be sure.
Do these bars work on solid lugs? What if the lug has an unusual shape?
Yes, they work on solid lugs as long as the cavity is at least 1.8mm deep. If the lug has a particular shape (angled, tapered, irregular), the pin will still enter, but the bar may sit less stably: in that case consider a custom solution. For standard straight or slightly curved lugs, there are no issues.
