Set of two spring bars for Rolex with blind lugs, in tempered Swiss Standard steel. Size: 20mm between lugs. Pin diameter: 2.0mm. Designed for modern Rolex cases that retain the wider lug hole geometry — certain 1980s transitional models, heavy aftermarket Oyster bracelets requiring the larger diameter pin.
The 2.0mm on a blind lug is a less common but correct technical choice on cases featuring a deeper lug hole than the standard 1.5mm. You notice it immediately if it’s needed: the modern pin goes in but wobbles, while the 2.0mm seats properly. The most frequent issue is the opposite — people fitting the 2.0mm into a 1.5mm hole and bending the spring.

How do I know if my Rolex really needs the 2.0mm and not the standard 1.5mm?
Try mounting a standard 1.5mm spring bar: if it enters but rotates inside the lug hole without locking, it’s loose. The 2.0mm locks immediately and stays firm. This commonly happens on 1980s-1990s Rolex models and modern cases with reinforced lugs. If the standard pin holds well, you don’t need the 2.0mm.
Can I use these 2.0mm spring bars on non-Rolex straps?
It depends on the lug cavity of your strap. If your aftermarket or third-party brand strap has lugs as wide as a modern Rolex, yes. However, the 2.0mm diameter is specific for deep cavities — on standard cases it will be difficult to insert or won’t fit. Measure the cavity before ordering.
How stable is the 2.0mm pin long-term? Is there a risk it will loosen?
Swiss Standard hardened steel resists loosening well if mounted correctly — the pin must contact the cavity walls on all sides. The risk of loosening is minimal if the cavity is the correct depth. If the cavity is still slightly undersized, the pin will have more difficulty staying firmly in place.
Do these spring bars have fully solid lugs or are they hollow?
