Recycled polyester
Twenty-seven centimeters of 100% recycled polyester. It's not a compromise - it's a precise choice, made even before wearing it.
Military nylon has its own aesthetic: flat, durable, able to withstand any conditions. This black strap with orange edges brings that character without compromising on the origin of the materials. The yarn comes from regenerated polyester, processed in Italy with the same care reserved for leather models. The result is a strap with a point of view - chromatically bold, structurally solid.
The orange edges are not decorative in the trivial sense of the word: they mark the profile of the strap with a sharp contrast, military in rhythm, civilian in daily use. 316L stainless steel buckle and loops complete the structure without adding unnecessary weight.

WHAT WE DID
Milano Straps has always been mindful of sustainability and of the ways in which a luxury product should be made and distributed, and has decided, in its own small way, to help grow an Eco-Luxury Positive economy.
We have recently launched the MSLabStraps line, a new series of eco-friendly NATO fabric straps made by recycling post-consumer plastic bottles collected in Northern Italy.
With one recycled plastic bottle, two MSLabStraps NATO straps are made.
Through a mechanical, not chemical, recycling process, certified 100% Made in Italy along its entire fully traceable supply chain, the plastic in the bottles is shredded and turned into high-quality, high-performance recycled polyester yarns for textile use.
Producing 1 kg of Newlife®, compared with the same quantity of virgin polymer, allows a 60% reduction in energy consumption, a 32% reduction in CO2 emissions and a 94% reduction in water use
Frequently asked questions
Can I get it wet, for example in the pool or at the sea?
Yes, this strap is designed for that. It is made from Newlife recycled polyester, sourced from plastic bottles and processed in Italy. Water is not an issue.
What sizes are available?
20 mm and 22 mm. Check your watch's lug width and choose the matching size.
How long is it and how much does it weigh on the wrist?
27 cm in total length, 1.5 mm thick. Flat and lightweight, it doesn't bulk up under a cuff.
What material is the buckle made of?
316L stainless steel, for both the buckle and the keepers. It's the same alloy I use for leather strap buckles, applied here to the NATO.
Does the orange colour on the edges fade over time?
I don't have this information to answer with certainty. I can only tell you what I know: it's a recycled yarn, processed in Italy, and the black-and-orange contrast is part of the construction, not a surface treatment.
