Handmade in Italy Selected leathers

From motorsport to your wrist, without losing anything along the way. Black and red isn't a color choice — it's a language everyone understands: Maranello liveries, racing chronograph dials, the line between who gets noticed and who is remembered. The Driver Black & Red brings that syntax to the strap with the understated elegance of something that needs no explanation.

The red doesn't shout. The waxed polyester thread stitching emerges from the black leather as a detail meant for those who look closely — not for those passing by. It's the difference between ostentation and character.

The leather is full-grain calfskin, handcrafted in the atelier. The edges are burned and sealed one by one using the automotive saddlery technique: a finish that doesn't wear out, in fact — over time it develops a dark, dense patina that tells the story of use without shame. Soft from day one, durable for years. Not because we say so: but because that's what premium leather, worked correctly, does.

Compatible with any timepiece — Rolex, Omega, TAG Heuer, Tudor, IWC, Breitling, Grand Seiko, Cartier, Panerai, and many more. Just identify the lug width.

Each strap is made from natural leather: variations in grain and tone are not imperfections, they are the signature of an authentic product.

Black and Red Driver Strap

It softens to your wrist.

It starts firm and, week after week, takes the shape of your wrist. The surface grows warmer to the touch, the colour gains depth where the light hits it. No plastic on top: leather that ages honestly.

Frequently Asked Questions

But doesn't the red of the stitching fade over time? Like, in a year I end up with a grey strap?

No. The thread is waxed polyester, not a surface dye. The stitching stays vivid red. What changes is the black leather around it: it develops a dense, dark patina with use. The contrast, if anything, becomes even more striking. It’s not degradation—it’s a signature the strap builds into itself.

I have a watch with 18mm lugs. Does this strap fit or do I need the 19mm one?

The measurement you see on your watch (18mm, 19mm, 20mm) is the lug width, and that’s what matters. If you have 18mm, get the Driver in 18mm × 16mm. That’s the right size. The 16mm is the thickness at the point where you insert the pins: it works with any timepiece with that lug width.

You say it’s full-grain calf and soft from day one. How soft? Like Horween soft or still somewhat structured?

It’s full-grain calf hand-worked in atelier, so it starts soft—nothing papery about it. But it’s not a pre-aged leather. It maintains body and structure. The tannery type isn’t specified, so I can’t tell you if it’s Horween, Shinki, or another. What we know is it lasts years without wearing out, and actually develops that patina we mentioned.

Hand-burnished edges—when do they start showing wear or fraying? Is it a finish you have to maintain?

No, it’s not a finish to maintain. It’s automotive saddlery: burnished and sealed means it won’t fray. It’s a technique that holds up over time. Obviously after years of use the edge acquires a patina, but it’s not wear that needs repair. It’s the leather telling the story. It’s not something you need to touch.

One thing: they say it’s authentic because it has grain and tone variations. But could I receive a strap where the red stitching isn’t uniform, or the black has blotches, and have to exchange it?

The grain and tone variations of natural leather—that’s normal, that’s the signature. But we don’t know where authenticity ends and where Milano Straps’ quality control standards begin. That threshold isn’t specified. If you receive something that seems off to you, you need to talk directly with them.
