Hand-stitched Matt Orange Caiman Strap

The broad-snouted caiman (Caiman latirostris) lives in freshwater swamps, mangroves, and slow-moving waters of eastern South America — Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia. It is not the Mississippi alligator, nor the Nile crocodile. It is a species unto itself, with a more irregular, more lively grain, more character.

On this strap, that grain is orange. Not a screaming orange: opaque, almost sandy, with the natural nuances that each skin carries. No glare, no lacquer. Just the leather, its texture, its personality.

The stitching is manual, stitch by stitch, with matching thread that follows the profile without overpowering it. The thickness tapers from 4mm at the lugs to 2.5mm towards the buckle — a progression that isn't seen, but is immediately felt on the wrist: flat, stable, without stiffness.

Each piece is unique. Caiman leather does not accept serial production: the scale pattern changes from specimen to specimen, from area to area. What you receive is not identical to the one in the photo — it is the same strap, but with its own skin history.
