John S Fantastic Company... exceptional straps for a great price and delivered fast. Great communication as well. This is my No. 1 place to buy for my watches!!!
SKU: SRB-BLU-18-ST
Saffiano is no ordinary leather. Its cross-grain is created by hot pressing that compacts the fibers, making the surface scratch and moisture resistant, and providing a visually precise, almost geometric texture. On an Apple Watch, it completely changes the wrist's aesthetic.
The edge is folded — a process that conceals the raw cut under a layer of leather turned and hand-pressed. The blue stitching follows the perimeter continuously, without smudging. The buckle is made of stainless steel, with a weight and solidity that are immediately perceptible upon closing.
The blue chosen for this strap is not an assertive color: it is a blue that works by subtraction, discreet enough to stand out without overpowering the dial.
Each piece is produced in Italy. The Saffiano grain, being made from natural leather, may show slight variations from piece to piece — a sign that it is not a synthetic material.

The cross-hatched grain is armour: it shrugs off scratches and rain where full-grain would mark. It changes little over time, and that's its virtue — wear it every day and it stays itself.

Changing your strap should be as simple as changing your shoes. With us, it is.
Every strap has integrated quick-release spring bars: swap it in one gesture, no tools, no risk of scratching the lugs. The same watch shifts mood with the moment.
Picked for you
Saffiano owes everything to the hot pressing process that compacts the fibres deep down. That cross-hatched grain you see isn’t decorative: it makes the surface mechanically more resistant to scratches because the fibres are literally packed together. And yes, it absorbs less moisture than smooth leathers. It is not synthetic — it is natural leather subjected to a process that changes it structurally. The cost reflects this: the pressing requires precise equipment and skilled labour. But let us be clear: it always scratches less than a smooth leather, it is not scratch-proof.
Here I cannot give you an absolute number without knowing how your Watch is assembled at the factory — tolerances on the pins vary by half a millimetre from model to model. What I can tell you is this: 18 × 16 is the lug width most commonly used on 38-40mm cases, and it is where to start. If the pin enters with two fingers of play, then 19 × 16 may give you a firmer hold. Ideally, measure your Apple Watch at the lug with a caliper if you have one. Otherwise, write to our assistant with the serial number of your Watch.
Saffiano is natural leather — you recognise it by touch: it has body, specific weight, a sensation of living matter that plastic will never have. Moreover, the description here states that the grain may present slight variations from piece to piece, precisely because it is derived from natural leather. If it were synthetic, every example would be identical. We do not need certificates to tell you this: it is enough to hold the strap in your hand once. The difference is felt immediately on the wrist.
It is a blue that works by subtraction — discreet enough to stand out without overpowering the dial of the Apple Watch. It is not bright, it is neither real-estate nor hyper-saturated. It is the blue chosen by those who do not want the strap to speak more than the wrist. If you are looking for something more assertive or darker, this is not the right choice. But if you know that a sober blue with an apple in front of it changes the entire visual register, then you already understand what this one does.
No, the edge is finished with a folded technique — a manual process that hides the raw cut beneath a layer of leather turned over and pressed. This is what makes artisanal straps recognisable: you do not see the cut, you see a precise fold. The blue thread stitching follows the entire perimeter without imperfections. It is the detail that explains the “artisanal” on your wrist.
