The leather is selected in Louisiana and tanned in Tuscany according to traditional Italian methods. The result is a matte, compact surface, with the alligator's belly pattern emerging without overwhelming. Each scale is different from the other—it's the signature of a living material, not an industrial finish.
The tone-on-tone stitching maintains the sobriety of the piece: the thread doesn't compete with the leather, it follows it. The thickness tapers from the lugs to the keeper to follow the wrist without stiffness.
