The sky at dawn has exactly this shade. It's not a deep blue, it's not the blue of catalogues — it's in between, in that territory that's hard to name and impossible to ignore. On authentic alligator leather, with a matte finish, this colour doesn't reflect light: it absorbs it, holds it, and returns it differently.
Matte alligator has a precise character. The scales retain their three-dimensional relief — you feel it under your fingertip even before you look at it — but the matte finish eliminates any self-satisfaction. No easy shine, no showiness. Those who know, recognise it. Others don't, and that's fine.
In the Milanese workshops of Milano Straps, every strap passes through the hands of those who know the difference between a seam that holds and a seam that is made. Waxed thread, hand-sewn, no shortcuts in finishing. Alligator leather does not forgive approximations — and we don't ask for them.
Matte azure works with brushed steel, with white gold, with platinum. It naturally pairs with light dials, greys, deep navy blues. With Rolex Datejust, Omega Seamaster, Patek Philippe Calatrava, IWC Portofino, Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, Grand Seiko, Tudor Black Bay: wherever there's a timepiece that deserves attention to detail.

What sizes are available?
I offer 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22mm at the lug. Each size has its own width at the buckle: 16mm up to 20mm, 18mm for 21 and 22mm.
What buckle options are available?
Steel, yellow gold-plated, rose gold-plated or black PVD. All are available in every strap size.
Is it suitable for a large wrist or heavy daily use?
I'll be honest with you: I wouldn't recommend it for wrists over 20cm, nor for cases larger than 22mm. It isn't designed for frequent rain exposure or sporty use.
Which watches does it suit?
I think the matte light blue pairs well with brushed steel, white gold and platinum. It works effortlessly on the Datejust, Seamaster, Calatrava, Portofino, Reverso, Grand Seiko and Black Bay.
How thick is the strap?
It starts at 3.5mm near the case and tapers to 2.5mm towards the buckle. The long end measures 115mm, the short end 75mm.
