The Heritage
The strap for this watch is made to measure
On the Piaget Emperador the bracelet is drawn as part of the case: no catalogue strap will fit. In the atelier we take the measurements on the watch itself and build the strap on the piece — that is the work of Casati Milano.

Can a standard strap be mounted on the Piaget Emperador G0A40041?
No, the bracelet is integrated into the case and does not accept standard strap lugs. The only way is to build a bespoke strap directly onto the case's geometry. In the atelier I anchor the leather to your watch's proprietary lugs, with no compromise.
How does the bespoke process work at Atelier Casati Milano?
I work by appointment only at Casati Milano. I take measurements directly from your case, study the lugs, and hand-model the strap in the workshop. It is not a quick process: each piece requires millimetre-level attention so the result is seamless and long-lasting.
Which leather do you recommend for an Emperador this architectural?
I prefer Mississippi alligator for this watch. The natural scale pattern speaks to the sculptural proportions of the rose gold case, and aged alligator develops a patina that grows dignified over years. It is leather that does not compete with the watch—it accompanies it.
How long does a well-made strap last?
A properly executed strap will hold up 5-7 years of daily wear. It depends on how you treat it: protect it from stagnant water, dry it if wet, and occasionally apply neutral cream. The best leather is not one that never ages—it is one that ages with character and legibility.
Why does a 46.5mm Emperador need such care in the strap choice?
Because the ultra-thin case and its architectural proportions do not forgive approximation. A coarse or poorly calibrated strap breaks the balance that the designers at La Côte-aux-Fées built millimetre by millimetre. It deserves study, not an accessory.
