No. The bracelet is integrated into the white gold case: there are no standard lugs to attach an off-the-shelf strap. The attachment is a structural part of the watch itself. The only option is a bespoke strap, built directly around the case.

Everything takes place at <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, by appointment only, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, study every angle of the transition between case and bracelet, and build the attachment from scratch. I don't use templates: every piece is different, and this Odysseus is more so than most.

I favour a matte alligator in a fine grain and cool tone — slate grey or midnight blue. The Odysseus is a sports watch that wears white gold without ostentation: the leather needs that same restraint. I'd steer clear of glossy or overly formal skins, which work against the character of the piece.

With ordinary care, a strap made from quality leather will easily last five to seven years. Keep it away from standing water and let it air dry after a demanding day. Good leather doesn't deteriorate — it ages, shifts, develops a patina that tells the story of wear, and that's precisely the point.

It is the first sports watch Glashütte ever produced, presented in 2019. I've seen many collectors surprised by how consistently Lange's identity carries over into an integrated case built for a moving wrist. The L155.1 Datomatic calibre is entirely in-house: all of Lange's constructive precision, inside a form you simply wouldn't expect from them.
