The Zenith El Primero was introduced in 1969 as the first automatic high-frequency chronograph movement. It features the El Primero 4052 W caliber with chronograph functions, annual calendar and day-month indication. The movement operates at 36,000 vibrations/hour with a column-wheel for the chronograph control.
