This measurement is taken between the integrated lugs (spring bar housings) located at the 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock positions on the case. A digital calliper allows you to verify this dimension precisely before purchasing an aftermarket strap.

The ideal strap depends on your intended use. For formal contexts, we recommend an alligator strap with vegetable tanning in burgundy or cognac brown, which creates sophisticated contrast with the brushed steel case. For continuous sports use, a NATO strap in Cordura canvas guarantees moisture resistance and ease of cleaning. The Oris Williams features integrated lugs on the case. To replace the strap, you will need a spring bar removal tool to compress the spring bars located inside the lugs. Once compressed, the old strap slides out easily. The new strap is inserted by aligning it with the lug until the spring bar engages mechanically.
