The ideal strap depends on intended use. For formal contexts, an alligator in vegetable-tanned leather in brown or black amplifies the authority of the case. For daily and aquatic wear, a NATO fabric strap in grey or navy blue ensures practicality. Rubber is the extreme choice for intensive marine activities.

The strap is replaced by removing the spring bars that connect the strap to the case lugs. Use a dedicated spring bar tool to compress the springs and withdraw the worn strap, then insert the new one by aligning the internal holes with the lugs and releasing the springs until they click into place.
