To measure it correctly, place your calliper from the inner edge of the left pin to the inner edge of the right pin, excluding the case itself. This is the historical standard for German Navy Watches.

If you prefer practicality and casual style, a NATO strap in woven polyamide is perfect. For humid environments or sporty use, choose FKM rubber with a steel deployant clasp. The Laco 862021 is fitted with a removable strap using spring bars. To change it: obtain a spring bar tool or pin extractor; position the tip under one spring bar and push gently upwards to release it; remove the strap; align the pins of the new strap with the case lugs; push the spring bar back into place until it clicks. Repeat on the other side. Although a spring bar tool is not strictly necessary, it makes the operation much safer and more precise.
