Frequently asked questions

Can a standard strap be fitted to the Hublot Big Bang 411.JB.4901.RT?

No. The bracelet is integrated into the case: there are no standard lugs to attach an off-the-shelf strap. This is a deliberate design choice by Hublot, not something a generic adapter can solve. The only viable path is a bespoke strap, built by studying the attachment geometry directly on the watch.

How does the bespoke strap service work for this model?

I work exclusively by appointment at Casati Milano, Via XX Settembre 15, Milan. The watch comes to the bench and I take measurements from the case itself: no templates exist that work here, and every connector is designed and milled for that specific piece. I do not accept remote orders for this kind of work.

Which leather do I recommend for this Big Bang?

For a watch built around the fusion of technical materials, I choose alligator treated with water-repellent resins: it keeps pace with the industrial aesthetic of the case without softening it. A high-grade rubber is also a strong option alongside the titanium and resin. Classic smooth leathers feel out of place here.

How long does a well-made strap last?

With regular use and basic care, a quality leather strap lasts between five and eight years. Keep it away from prolonged water exposure and treat it with a neutral cream twice a year. It ages: the colour shifts, it takes on the shape of the wrist, it carries the years with it. For me, that is part of its worth.

What makes the construction philosophy of this Big Bang so distinctive?

Hublot built this watch around one clear idea: bringing together materials that do not normally speak to each other — resin, titanium, sapphire — and making them into a single coherent architecture. The 411.JB.4901.RT carries that logic all the way to the strap attachment, which is not a separate accessory but an integral part of the case. I have seen very few watches where the strap is so fundamentally part of the design.
