The lug width of the Furlan Marri 1121-A is precisely 20 millimetres. This measurement must be taken by positioning a digital calliper between the inner shoulders of the lugs, from base to opposite end. A 20mm strap seats perfectly without play or forcing.

Vegetable-tanned alligator is the most sophisticated choice for the 1121-A: fine grain, balanced visual scalability, patina evolving towards warmer tones with use. Vegetable-tanned calf is an excellent alternative for those preferring tactile softness and structural robustness. NATO or rubber straps are ideal for intense sporting use or aquatic environments.

Remove the strap by extracting the spring bars that traverse the lugs. Use a dedicated tool (pin remover or strap tool) to avoid scratching the case. Once the bars are removed, slide out the old strap and insert the new one from the same direction, reinserting the bars with care until they lock.

All standard 20mm straps are compatible with the Furlan Marri 1121-A. These are available in alligator, calf, shell cordovan, canvas, nylon (NATO) and rubber. We recommend choosing thickness between 3.5mm and 4.5mm to avoid visual misalignment with the lugs. Always verify the supplier's specifications before purchase.

A quality leather strap (alligator or vegetable-tanned calf) lasts between 3 and 5 years with daily wear, depending on climate and humidity. Vegetable-tanned leather wears progressively but maintains aesthetic dignity during decline. A rubber or NATO strap lasts 5-7 years under identical daily use. Final durability depends on care: avoid prolonged exposure to perspiration and stagnant fresh water.
