Strap for Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon Chronograph Openworked Selfwinding Titanium / White

The bracelet is integrated into the case: there is no standard lug to attach a conventional strap. This is a deliberate design decision by Audemars Piguet, not a limitation. In the atelier I build the strap directly on the watch, measuring every geometry by hand.

I work through <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, by appointment only, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. The watch comes into the atelier and I take measurements directly from the case: there are no templates, every piece starts from scratch. It is the only way to honour the geometry of this Royal Oak Concept.

I recommend black Mississippi alligator. The titanium and ceramic case has a strong technical character, and the matte black of the alligator works with those surfaces without competing with them. For someone who wants the strap to age alongside the watch and develop its own story, natural Barenia is the right choice: it is a leather that wears beautifully over time.

An alligator or Barenia strap, properly cared for, will easily last five, eight, even ten years of regular wear. Keep it away from water and condition it with a neutral product every few months. Alligator stays tight and lustrous for a long time; Barenia develops a patina that, personally, I find more interesting than the original finish.

The Royal Oak Concept is not an evolution of the classic Royal Oak: it is a separate platform, created to explore technical solutions that Audemars Piguet could not place within the main line. This reference combines a tourbillon and a chronograph in a case that blends titanium and ceramic, two materials with very different mechanical behaviours. When I hold it at the bench, the priorities feel engineering-first, aesthetics second.
