Integrated bracelet: measurements, the most common questions, and the way to a made-to-measure strap.
Integrated bracelet
The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept 26228BC.SS.D314CR.01 is designed with a bracelet integrated into the case. For a compatible made-to-measure strap, the Casati Milano atelier builds it on your watch.

Frequently asked questions
Can a standard strap be fitted to the Royal Oak Concept 26228BC.SS.D314CR.01?
No. The bracelet is integrated into the white gold case: there are no conventional lugs to attach an off-the-shelf strap. The attachment is part of the watch's own architecture. The only viable path is to build a strap to measure, directly on the watch itself.
How does the bespoke strap service work for this Royal Oak Concept?
I work exclusively by appointment at Casati Milano, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. You bring the watch to the atelier: I take measurements from the original case, study every curve of the integrated attachment, and build the strap millimetre by millimetre. There are no pre-made templates — every piece is made from scratch for that specific watch.
Which leather would I recommend for this model?
For a Royal Oak Concept, with all the technical and architectural tension it carries, I prefer Mississippi alligator with symmetrical scales. It holds the character of the watch without softening its personality. The glossy finish on the alligator works well with the white gold, without tipping into pure formal territory.
How long does a well-made strap last?
A properly built strap, using top-grade leather and hand-stitched linings, typically lasts between five and eight years of continuous use. It depends greatly on how you wear it: perspiration is leather's main enemy. I recommend rotating between two straps and letting each one dry away from heat sources. Over time the leather develops its own patina — that is not wear, that is memory.
Was the Royal Oak Concept genuinely born as a technical statement, or is it purely about appearance?
It was born in 2002 as a declaration of method. Audemars Piguet wanted to show how far watchmaking engineering could go when aesthetic constraints were removed. The open movement is not a decorative choice: it is the watch's very structure made readable. I have seen many open-worked dials, but few built with this level of consistency between form and mechanics.
The next step
The right strap isn't chosen. It is built, together.
From the atelier appointment to delivery, every step is made for those who know that things done well take time. Rare leathers, one piece at a time, eighteen months of warranty.
