Strap for Epurato Automatic Bronze / Green / Leather

The lug width (or lug distance) of the Anonimo Epurato AM-4000.04.466.F66 is precisely 20mm. This measurement is calculated from the distance between the centres of the two spring bar pins that anchor the strap to the case lugs. To verify, use a rigid ruler positioned from the centre of one pin to the other, passing over the upper bridge. For the Epurato in bronze we recommend alligator in cognac or chocolate tones, which creates visual contrast with the irregular patina of oxidised bronze. The longevity of a leather strap depends on the tanning method and use. A vegetable-tanned calf leather strap, worn daily under normal conditions, typically lasts 3–5 years before replacement is needed. Vegetable tanning develops fascinating patina but requires greater maintenance (avoid standing water, clean with damp cloth). An alligator or shell cordovan, treated with natural waxes, can last 5–7 years. The quality of lug construction (double stitching, hidden repairs) is decisive.
