The lug width of the Nautilo is precisely 20 mm, measured between the attachment points on the case. It is essential to verify that your strap is specifically dimensioned for 20 mm, as lugs of 19 mm or 21 mm will not fit correctly on this reference.

Four primary options exist for the Nautilo. Alligator with vegetable tanning offers natural patina and aesthetic sophistication, ideal for moderate daily wear. Shell cordovan guarantees superior durability and develops rich amber patina over time. A ballistic nylon NATO strap is the choice of the technical diver, offering robustness in actual diving. Finally, a rubber strap with deployant clasp is essential for frequent underwater use, providing comfort on wet skin and resistance to wetsuit wear.

The process requires a spring bar tool to compress the attachment pins. Position the tool in the lateral groove of the pin, gently pushing towards the case centre to release the current strap. Repeat on the other side. Subsequently, insert the pins of your new 20 mm strap into the case attachments, ensuring they click securely into position. Never force: an incorrectly sized strap risks damage to pins or case.

If the Nautilo is frequently used in diving or prolonged saltwater contact, durability reduces to 2–3 years, as moisture accelerates collagen oxidation. In such cases, we recommend a rubber or NATO strap as primary wear, reserving leather for occasional use.
