Spring bars Rolex Sky-Dweller 42 — 21mm × 1.5mm
€21,00
Set of two spring bars for Rolex Sky-Dweller 42mm, in hardened Swiss Standard steel. Size: 21mm between the lugs. Pin 1.5mm. Blind lugs. The Sky-Dweller is the most modern complex model from Rolex: independent second time zone and annual calendar, produced since 2012 — references 326933 steel-gold, 326935 Everose gold, 326139 white gold, 326938 yellow gold.
The Sky-Dweller 42mm uses 21mm lugs with 1.5mm pin — same specification as the Submariner 126610 and GMT 126710. 42mm case dimensionally larger than the 41 Submariner, but identical lug recess geometry. Sky-Dwellers on leather strap are pieces often seen in the atelier: they pair well with crocodile in the more formal variants.

Domande Frequenti
Are these spring bars compatible with my Submariner 126610 or are they specific only to the Sky-Dweller?
They are compatible with both. The Sky-Dweller 42 and Submariner 126610 share the same lug cavity geometry: 21mm distance between shoulders, 1.5mm pin. If you own either of these two models, these spring bars are compatible. However, note that if you have an older Submariner 41 (126610LN old series), that uses 20mm.
The pin is 1.5mm: how much margin do I have during installation? Is there a risk of damaging the lugs?
The margin is appropriate and not critical. 1.5mm is the Swiss standard for this cavity type. The greater risk is not damaging the lugs, but rather not inserting the pin straight: the Sky-Dweller lug cavity is a blind bore and requires perfect alignment. Use a pressing tool (hand press or pin tool), not a hammer. If the pin does not enter with firm, steady pressure, recheck the alignment.
The lugs are blind: what does this mean exactly?
It means the lug hole does not pass completely through — the pin does not protrude from the other side. This is a design Rolex uses on nearly all modern models: it provides better protection of the internal mechanism and case sealing. Installation requires a pin tool or press; you cannot use the "push from one side and it emerges from the other" method.
What is the difference between these and genuine Rolex OEM spring bars? Is it worth changing them if mine still hold?
Genuine Rolex OEM bars are identical in technical specification: tempered steel, 21mm, 1.5mm pin. Our advantage is lower cost and faster replacement without going through an authorized service center. If your current ones hold securely, there is no urgent need to replace them — spring bars are subject to fatigue mainly after years of continuous strap changes. Replace them when you notice the strap moving or the pin no longer tightens properly.
