Spring bars Rolex Exp II 226570 — 22mm × 1.5mm
€12,95
Set of two spring bars for Rolex Explorer II reference 226570, in tempered Swiss Standard steel. Size: 22mm between the lugs. Pin 1.5mm. Blind lugs. The 226570 is the modern 42mm Explorer II introduced in 2021 — it replaces the 216570 with a revised case, calibre 3285 and new 22mm lugs.
The transition from the 216570 (21mm lugs) to the 226570 (22mm lugs) is a Rolex decision to better balance the 42mm case. The pin remains 1.5mm: the same modern specification as the Submariner 126610 and GMT 126710 — Rolex tends to standardise the pin diameter across its contemporary cases. Only the length of the spring bar changes.
The same spring bars on every client’s 226570. The same supplier.

Domande Frequenti
I have a 216570 (the previous model): can I use these spring bars on mine?
No. The 216570 has 21mm lugs, this bar is 22mm. Installing it would create play between the bar and the lug, with risk of lateral strap movement. Rolex increased the length intentionally with the 226570 redesign. If you own a 216570, you need 21mm bars.
Is the 1.5mm pin compatible with other straps, or only Rolex?
The 1.5mm is the modern Rolex standard and you’ll find it on Submariner 126610, GMT-Master II 126710, and other recent cases. Some quality aftermarket straps accept this diameter, but always verify the specific strap specification—it is not universal like the 1.6mm found on vintage cases.
How long do these spring bars last? Should I buy spares?
Tempered steel to Swiss Standard lasts years if not mistreated. The real risk is not wear but improper installation—excessive bending of a bar during assembly can permanently deform it. With two sets on hand (one installed, one spare) you are covered for the life of the watch.
How do I install them without damaging the case?
You need a spring bar tool—do not improvise with screwdrivers. Insert the tool into the lug, press gently to seat the bar, and let it snap into position. The main difficulty is not forcing: if the bar does not slide in smoothly, check that it is correctly aligned. The 1.5mm pin is thin, so it requires more precision than larger diameters.
