Does the Velcro® wear out? How long does it last before it starts pilling?
It’s reinforced technical fabric, not cheap Velcro. It withstands mud, rain, sweat, friction against rock — it’s built to be used, not preserved. It’s not designed to be protected. After a day of hiking you rinse it under water and it continues to hold. True, everything wears with time, but this one is built to last in its category.
Why ecru stitching on military green? Isn’t that an odd choice?

I’m selling my Submariner Hulk. Does this strap suit it or is it one of those generic straps that ruin the watch?
The Rolex Submariner Hulk is among the watches this strap was conceived for. 20mm lug width, 3mm thickness — those are the numbers. But Velcro® Brand original and ecru stitching give it a completely different character from plasticky nylon. If you want purely tactical, there’s something else. If you want it bent between field and street, it works.
If dirt gets stuck in the Velcro® and becomes a mess, how do I clean it?
Rinse it under water. It’s not complicated. Reinforced technical fabric withstands the spray without fraying. If the mud is dry, some water and it’s gone. It has nothing delicate about it — it’s the exact opposite. It’s engineered to be used in extreme conditions, not sit in a box out of fear of getting dirty.
