Velcro® is the most direct technology available: no predefined holes, no buckle to center. One motion—lift, wrap, press—and the fit is just right, not approximate. The red stitching, done with reinforced UV-resistant thread, isn't a mere decorative flourish. It's the detail that gives the strap a point of view.
It was born with the MoonSwatch Mission to Mars in mind—the stitching dialogues with the iconic red of that dial without overpowering it. Doesn't Velcro® lose its grip after a while? I need a strap that lasts months, not weeks.
No, that is the point. This is original Velcro® Brand — after hundreds of openings and closings the grip is identical to day one. It is not a temporary compromise. If you use it daily with intense wear, sweat, water, the hold does not degrade. This is why it is not inexpensive: the technology keeps its promises.
The grey with red stitching — I like the colour of the stitch, but I don’t know if it will work on my watch. How can I tell?
It was conceived to dialogue with the reds of sports watches — the MoonSwatch Mission to Mars above all, but also Speedmaster Racing, Seamaster with red accents, Tudor Black Bay, TAG Heuer Carrera, Seiko 5 Sports. If your watch has a red detail in the dial or bezel, the stitching finds its natural coherence. If it is monochromatic, the grey works nonetheless as a neutral — but the red stitching remains there, evident. Consider whether that is what you want.
Is it true I have to punch holes in the lug to fit it? I would rather not damage the watch.
No, we do not punch anything. The Velcro® has no pre-defined holes — you lift, wrap, press. The fit is right on the first try, not approximate like with a buckle. It is one of the reasons it exists: no holes, no damage to the lug.
Does 20mm really work with my MoonSwatch? I have seen different measurements around.
20mm lug width, exactly what the MoonSwatch Mission to Mars needs. It was born with that reference in mind. If you have doubts about your specific version, measure your lug dimensions — but for the standard MoonSwatch, this is the number.
How long is it actually? I need to know if it sits well on the wrist, not just the number on paper.
12cm × 8cm, continuously adjustable. There are no fixed holes to snap into: the Velcro® adapts to the wrist you have that day — swollen after training, normal in the evening. It is a freedom that traditional straps do not have. 3mm thickness, not cumbersome under cuffs.
