Handmade Straps
Recycled Nylon Military Strap — Dark Green with Dark Green Stitching
€52,00
Military green isn't for everyone. It's a deliberate, almost declarative choice — those who wear it already know what they're looking for: a strap that looks good in the field as well as in the city, without aesthetic or ethical compromises.
This strap is made from 100% recycled polyester, crafted in Italy with the same attention to detail reserved for the finest leathers. The dark green stitching blends seamlessly with the fabric without overpowering it, giving the strap a visual coherence rarely found in NATO models in this range. The 316L stainless steel buckle and loops complete the picture: nothing to rust, nothing to give way.
At 1.5mm thick, it sits under the watch without creating bulk. With a total length of 27cm, it adapts to wrists of various sizes without losing the character of the original military cut.

Which wrist size is it designed for? I have a fairly large wrist, I'm worried it might be too short.
27cm total is the complete length. With a 20mm military strap, the cut is deliberately minimal — it's not built for very wide wrists. If you wear watches over heavy t-shirts or jackets, it might pull. This is a strap that assumes clean wear, without layers: bare wrist or at most a shirt.
Does recycled nylon really hold up? I mean, how long before it creases or tears?
It's 100% recycled polyester but worked with the same methods as premium materials — 1.5mm thick and with integrated stitching, it's not fragile. That said: it's fabric, not leather. With use the color stabilizes, but don't expect patina. It resists water and daily wear, but it carries the memory of another life before it reaches your wrist.
The tonal variations you mention — how different can they be from watch to watch?
Being recycled material, each batch has slight chromatic variations. It's not a flaw: it's the nature of recycled polyester itself. If you receive a strap and the green looks slightly lighter or more saturated than the photos, it's not an error — it's the individuality of the raw material.
316L steel doesn't rust, right? Even when exposed to salt or in salt water?
316L stainless steel resists corrosion well, including salty environments. It's an upgrade over standard steel for this reason. That said, it's not immune to everything — if you neglect it completely, over time it can develop discoloration. Rinse it occasionally if you use it in the sea.
How does it change over time? After six months, a year of use — how does the strap evolve?
Unlike a Horween leather that develops patina, nylon settles in. The color stabilizes (those initial variations normalize), the fibers compact slightly with use, the buckle develops some scratches — all normal. It doesn't fade dramatically, but it changes appearance in subtle ways. It's designed to age like a working object, not like a display piece.
