But if it’s recycled, how do I know it really holds up like genuine military nylon? Isn’t it a compromise to ease the conscience?
No, quite the opposite. 100% recycled polyester has the same technical strength as traditional military nylon — what matters is the fibre, not whether it’s virgin or second life. Here the recycled yarn is processed in Italy with the same rigour we apply to Horween or Shinki leathers. The proof is in the hardware: 316L, marine-grade stainless steel, no yielding. If it didn’t hold up, we wouldn’t make it.
The red stitching — is it just for show or does it serve a purpose?
Both. Functionally, it marks the strap, making it recognisable even beneath the dial when worn. Aesthetically, it’s a hallmark. It’s not a decorative detail thrown in: it’s the signature of whoever built it.
I have a slim wrist and own both sporty and classic 20mm watches. Will it fit everything?
Yes. The strap is compatible with both 20mm and 22mm lug widths — the 316L steel rings adapt to both measurements. The flat 1.5mm thickness is designed specifically for slim wrists and sporty watches. The total length is 27cm, a single size that covers most fits.
What’s the limit of this strap? That is, in what situations would you say it’s better to choose something else?
We don’t offer 27 length variants — if your wrist is particularly large, this one might pull tight. If you’re after a more formal strap, shell cordovan or alligator speaks another language. This one is for those who wear it in plain sight, every day, without second-guessing.
Does Made in Italy really mean it’s built by you, or is it just assembled?
It means the recycled yarn is processed and constructed here, in Italy, with the same care we reserve for a Shinki leather strap. It’s not assembly from raw pieces arriving from elsewhere. What you see — weave, red stitching, hardware — is made in the atelier.
