Nylon isn't always the obvious choice. It becomes one when woven from 100% recycled yarn, cut to size, and finished with a 316L steel buckle. This strap is born from a precise choice: technical material, reduced impact, uncompromising military aesthetic.
Navy blue is a classic of the military palette — understated, direct, recognizable. The light blue edges introduce a chromatic detail that lightens without clashing, perfect on steel or titanium cases. The texture of the recycled polyester holds up well to daily use: it doesn't fray, doesn't absorb moisture, and doesn't change character over time.
Produced in Italy with the same attention given to leather straps: the stitching is regular, the keeper loops are solid, the 316L stainless steel buckle does not rust or fail. A strap that works — without needing to explain why.

How long before recycled nylon starts to degrade? How long does it really last with daily use?
It doesn’t change character over time — that’s the point. 100% recycled polyester doesn’t fray, doesn’t absorb moisture the way cotton would, doesn’t rot. The weave holds up well to daily wear. The stitching is regular and solid, the 316L steel keepers don’t give way. It’s not a question of “how long it lasts,” it’s about how it performs: a strap that won’t let you down.

It doesn’t absorb moisture — that’s the advantage of recycled polyester. Unlike leather or cotton, it doesn’t rot and doesn’t retain water. It performs in conditions where other materials would start to suffer. Common sense aside (don’t sleep on it soaking wet), it’s a strap built for real use.
316L buckle — what’s the difference with regular steel? Will it rust after a while?
316L stainless steel is the kind that doesn’t rust and doesn’t give way. There’s no expiry date: it’s a buckle that won’t cause you problems. The rest of the construction is on the same level — solid, regular in the stitching, no compromises.
27 centimetres total length — is that the entire strap, or do I need to account for a portion that isn’t visible?
It’s the total length. With 20mm lugs, it’s sized to work on standard wrists. If you have a particular wrist (very large or very small), it’s best to mention it before ordering: Milan Straps knows how to adapt.
