This NATO strap is made from 100% recycled polyester, crafted in Italy according to MS Lab standards: a product that reflects a precise idea of responsibility, without sacrificing structure or character.
The orange edge detail is not a pop compromise. It's a demarcation line between the dark background and the wrist – visible, calibrated, deliberately military in its inspiration. The 1.5mm thickness ensures smooth movement through the loops and prolonged comfort, even on sports watches with generous lug widths.
Buckle and loops made of 316L stainless steel: the same material used in quality watch cases. Rust-resistant, stable over time, with the right tension on the wrist.

Milano Straps, always sensitive to the issue of sustainability and the ways in which a luxury product should be produced and distributed, has decided, in its small way, to contribute to the growth of an Eco-Luxury Positive economy.
Recently launched, the MSLabStraps line is a new series of eco-friendly NATO fabric straps made by recycling post-consumer plastic bottles collected in Northern Italy.
From one recycled plastic bottle, two MSLabStraps NATO straps are made.
Through a mechanical, non-chemical recycling process that is 100% Made in Italy certified throughout its fully traceable supply chain, the plastic from the bottles is shredded and transformed into high-quality, high-performance recycled polyester yarns for textile use.
The production of 1 kg of Newlife®, for the same quantity of virgin polymer, allows a reduction in energy consumption of 60%, CO2 emissions of 32%, and water consumption of 94%.

Is it really recycled or is it one of those stories everyone tells? And above all, if it’s recycled, how does the polyester hold up after regeneration?
It’s 100% recycled polyester, certified as such. It’s not a marketing nuance — it’s the material’s foundation. On durability: a 1.5mm thickness worked to MS Lab standards means regeneration hasn’t compromised structure or smoothness through the rings. It’s a strap that holds its shape and doesn’t slip off on first intensive use.
The orange on the edge — but why? Isn’t it just to look more ‘sporty’ and then after two months you’re tired of looking at your wrist?
The orange edge isn’t a decorative choice. It’s a demarcation line between the dark base and the leather — it serves to break visually, calibrated not to become pop. If military green is already a conscious choice, the orange detail reinforces that idea, it doesn’t contradict it. It’s a matter of design coherence.
How does the buckle hold up over time? Because I’ve had buckles that after six months started to rattle or lose tension.
Buckle and rings are 316L stainless steel — the same material used in quality watch cases. It resists rust and maintains tension over time. It’s not commercial steel that oxidizes: it’s the material that guarantees sustained stability on the wrist without give.
27cm total — how does it work for those with large or small wrists? Can I still adjust it decently or do I need to start punching holes?
Total length is 27cm on a 20mm lug width. With the NATO system, the strap wraps around the watch lug twice: you have adjustment margin on the buckle. If your wrist is beyond standard, that’s a fixed measurement — it’s good to know before ordering. On watches with lug width between 20 and 22mm it’s comfortable without improvisation.
