Military green isn't meant to please everyone. It's a deliberate choice, almost a silent statement — those who wear it know why.
This NATO strap is made from 100% recycled polyester, crafted in Italy according to MS Lab Straps standards. The raw material has already had a first life: transforming it into a watch strap is a technical gesture even before it is an ethical one. The 1.5mm thickness ensures a flat profile under the watch case, without bulges, even with watches that have a thin case back. The white edges break up the green field with almost graphic precision — a detail that distinguishes a military strap from one that is simply dark.
Buckle and loops in 316L stainless steel: the same used in watchmaking for corrosion resistance. No oxidation, no failures over time.

Milano Straps has always been mindful of sustainability and of the ways in which a luxury product should be made and distributed, and has decided, in its own small way, to help grow an Eco-Luxury Positive economy.
We have recently launched the MSLabStraps line, a new series of eco-friendly NATO fabric straps made by recycling post-consumer plastic bottles collected in Northern Italy.
With one recycled plastic bottle, two MSLabStraps NATO straps are made.
Through a mechanical, not chemical, recycling process, certified 100% Made in Italy along its entire fully traceable supply chain, the plastic in the bottles is shredded and turned into high-quality, high-performance recycled polyester yarns for textile use.
Producing 1 kg of Newlife®, compared with the same quantity of virgin polymer, allows a 60% reduction in energy consumption, a 32% reduction in CO2 emissions and a 94% reduction in water use
Frequently asked questions
Can I get this NATO wet?
Yes. It is an eco friendly strap, made from Newlife® recycled polyester from plastic bottles, Made in Italy supply chain. It withstands water and sweat without any issue.
What sizes are available?
20mm and 22mm at the lugs. The total length is 27cm, the same for both widths.
Is it bulky under the case?
No. The thickness is 1.5mm, a flat profile even with thin case backs.
Does the buckle wear out over time?
No. The buckle and keepers are made of 316L stainless steel, the same as the cases: it does not corrode or give way.
Can I have traditional spring bars instead of the quick release?
Yes, it is a made-to-order variant: same price, about a week's wait. Just let me know the size, 20mm or 22mm, and I will prepare it that way.
