Recycled polyester
Recycled polyester is not a compromise — it's a choice. This military strap is made from 100% recycled material, crafted in Italy with the same care given to the finest leather. The royal blue is edged with an orange stripe: a precise, non-random contrast, designed for those who know that color detail is already a language.
The structure is flat, thin, essential. 1.5mm thickness ensures the strap doesn't impose itself under the wrist — it accompanies, it doesn't encumber. The 316L stainless steel buckle and loops complete the design with quiet solidity: nothing rusts, nothing gives way.
Suitable for any 20mm or 22mm lug width, it wears well on field watches, entry-level divers, or any timepiece with a straightforward character. The royal blue with orange edges doesn't seek unanimous consensus — it's designed for those who already have a point of view.

WHAT WE DID
Milano Straps, always sensitive to the issue of sustainability and the ways in which a luxury product should be produced and distributed, has decided, in its small way, to contribute to the growth of an Eco-Luxury Positive economy.
Recently launched, the MSLabStraps line is a new series of eco-friendly NATO fabric straps made by recycling post-consumer plastic bottles collected in Northern Italy.
From one recycled plastic bottle, two MSLabStraps NATO straps are made.
Through a mechanical, non-chemical recycling process that is 100% Made in Italy certified throughout its fully traceable supply chain, the plastic from the bottles is shredded and transformed into high-quality, high-performance recycled polyester yarns for textile use.
The production of 1 kg of Newlife®, for the same quantity of virgin polymer, allows a reduction in energy consumption of 60%, CO2 emissions of 32%, and water consumption of 94%.
Domande Frequenti
How does this recycled polyester behave over time? Does it tend to felt, fray, or lose colour under the sun?
We do not have specific data on degradation or chromatic variation over time. What I can say is this: it has been worked in Italy with the same care reserved for fine leathers, which means control over the spinning and the edges. The 1.5mm thickness is designed to endure daily use. If you have a watch you wear often and want to understand how the material reacts to your real-world conditions, my advice is to try it and assess after a few months of actual use.
Is the orange piping printed or is it real weave? And if the edge gets damaged, what happens?
It is a precise chromatic contrast along the edges, not a random print — but I do not have details on the construction technique (thread dyeing, stitching, inlay). What I do know is that it is a military strap: flat structure, thin, essential. The edges are there. If you want to know exactly how this detail is constructed, it is a question to ask directly — it is the kind of thing the maker explains better in person.
Can I fit it on a 22mm directly, or does it sit better on a 20mm?
It is compatible with both 20mm and 22mm lug widths. Beyond technical compatibility, the size that lives well depends on how the width behaves in relation to the case: on a 22mm it will have a different margin of movement compared to a 20mm, but we do not have data on which one settles better. The geometry of your case — whether it is more muscular or more slender — makes a difference.
27cm total: is that what I see on the wrist, or is it a tip-to-tip measurement including the buckle?
The total length is 27cm. I do not have clarification in the data on whether this includes or excludes the 316L steel buckle. If you are calculating how tight or loose it might sit on your wrist, it is the kind of measurement worth verifying directly to be certain of the fit.
316L steel — do I really need this quality on a recycled nylon strap, or is it just over-caution?
316L stainless steel does not rust and does not yield: it is the choice that removes any thought about the buckle for years to come. On a recycled polyester, it upholds the promise of the project — that the strap will accompany you without silent degradation. Over-caution? No: it is constructive coherence. Nylon does not age well if everything else around it deteriorates.
