Handmade Straps
Recycled Nylon Military Strap — Grey with Light Blue Edges
€52,00
Nylon is not a compromise. It is a choice.
This military strap is made from 100% recycled polyester—a material treated with the same care we reserve for Tuscan leather. The weave is dense, the hand is flat, and it behaves on the wrist like something that doesn't need to show off. The grey comes with blue edges like a marginal note: discreet, yet present.
The 316L stainless steel buckle and loops ensure corrosion resistance without adding weight. The slim 1.5mm thickness is for those who wear tool watches or vintage timepieces with narrow lugs, without sacrificing the strap's character.

The joy of little things
Changing your strap should be as simple as changing your shoes. With us, it is.
Every strap has integrated quick-release spring bars: swap it in one gesture, no tools, no risk of scratching the lugs. The same watch shifts mood with the moment.

ARTIGIANATO ITALIANO
Manifattura Milanese

But how long before recycled nylon starts to deteriorate? I need a strap that lasts years, not months.
The 100% recycled polyester used here is not waste material. It is treated with the same care we devote to Tuscan leather — the dense weave and the Italian finishing process guarantee solid resistance over time. I will not give you a fabricated expiration date: it depends on how you use it. If you wear it hard, as a true tool strap, the nylon holds. If you neglect it in extremely humid conditions without maintenance, it will logically degrade like any fibre. Those who choose military nylon know it is not leather: they know it is something else, with different rules.
How do I fit a 20mm strap? My watches have 20mm lug width, but I don’t know if it goes in without forcing.
The lug width is 20mm — 22mm: this means the strap fits 20mm lugs without forcing. If your lugs are exactly 20 or slightly larger, it slips in cleanly. If instead you have a watch with narrower lugs (18mm, 19mm), this is not the strap for you. The 1.5mm thickness is deliberately kept slim for tool watches and vintage pieces with tight lugs, but the lug clearance is what it is: either it fits, or it doesn’t. Measure your lugs first.
Does the 316L steel buckle oxidize? And above all, can it come off or does it have a safety system?
316L steel is stainless — it does not oxidize. This is what we use to ensure the buckle does not become a problem after months. Regarding the fastening system and the mechanical security of the buckle to the edges of the nylon: this is the detail you should ask about directly when ordering. I do not have the specification of the attachment system, and I will not invent one. Get in touch, look at the technical photo, ask the questions that matter — that is what true collectors do.
If I wear it every day, how does the grey with blue edges age? Does it fade?
It is treated nylon, not leather that develops a patina. The grey with blue edges does not age the way leather does — it does not darken, it does not soften over time. What happens is more restrained: the strap keeps its colour. If you expose it directly to the sun for years without respite, yes, any colour will fade — that is a law of physics. But in daily wear, on the wrist, it stays as you see it.
Is it really 27cm total? That is, is it enough for my wrist or do I risk it being short?
The total length is 27cm. What you can do with it depends on where you set the buckle, on how much room the keepers take up, and on the size of your wrist. 27cm is the closed length — that is the measurement you need to compare against what you measure on your own wrist. If you wear your straps short and tight, check the size first. If it is borderline, get in touch: better to know in advance than to receive something that does not fit.
