Selected leathers
Nubuck alligator is not a compromise finish. It is a precise choice: the natural grain of the reptile is processed to obtain a matte surface, velvety to the touch, which absorbs light instead of reflecting it. The result is a strap that wears the color gold with sobriety - without ostentation, without a mirror effect.
Every stitch is hand-sewn, with thread that follows the curvature of the lugs without forcing it. Tanning and finishing take place entirely in Italy, on genuine alligator skins selected for grain uniformity and color consistency. Color variation between one piece and another is not a defect: it is proof that no two straps are identical.
The thickness progressively decreases - more robust at the lug, thinner at the clasp - to adapt to the wrist without stiffness and slide easily under the dial.

Patina is the signature of time.
Alligator doesn't wear down: it matures. The first months on the wrist soften its flank, light darkens the ridges just slightly, and the colour deepens. We treat it with neutral oils, no varnish to smother the grain: what you take home isn't finished, it's only beginning.
The next step
The right strap isn’t chosen. It is built, together.
From the atelier appointment to delivery, every step is made for those who know that things done well take time. Rare leathers, one piece at a time, eighteen months of warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between nubuck finishing and a polished finish on alligator leather?
Nubuck finishing removes the surface layer of the leather, revealing an opaque, slightly velvety texture that dampens reflections. On alligator, this means the grain remains legible — the scales are clearly visible — but the strap does not catch light as a lacquered or polished finish would. For those seeking presence without theatrical effect, it is a substantial difference.
Does the gold color of nubuck tend to fade over time?
Nubuck finishing absorbs the natural oils from the wrist more readily than a smooth surface, which can slightly modify color saturation in contact zones over the long term. On warm tones such as gold, this process tends to create amber nuances that many consider part of the strap’s character. Periodic maintenance with products specific to nubuck significantly slows this evolution.
Which closure do you recommend for this strap with a 20mm lug width watch?
With a 20mm lug width, the strap accommodates a standard 16mm ardillon buckle on the short end — consistent with the 20×16mm specification indicated. For more formal watches or for those preferring a deployant closure, it is possible to pair a steel or PVD gold deployant: the softness of nubuck works well with both solutions, with no risk of deformation at the fold.
Is the color variation between one specimen and another significant?
On genuine alligator leather with nubuck finishing, variation is real but contained: these are differences in tone depth — some specimens tend toward warmer gold, others slightly more neutral. There are no out-of-range specimens, but those seeking a specific tone may contact us before purchase for verification of the available specimen.
