Alligator nubuck has a surface unlike any other leather. Matte, velvety to the touch, with a chromatic depth that blue expresses better than any other color. It's not your usual shiny alligator: here the finish is brushed in reverse, and the result is a strap that catches the light in a completely different way depending on the angle.
Every stitch of the tone-on-tone stitching is done by hand, one at a time. It's not just an aesthetic choice — it's how a strap gains structural consistency over time, without the stitches giving way where a machine would have left uneven tension. Genuine alligator leathers exhibit natural variations in scale pattern: it's the signature of a living material, not a defect.
Suitable for elegant and sporty cases, the blue nubuck dialogues with white, silver and anthracite dials. It also pairs well with brushed steel.

What's the difference compared to a polished alligator finish?
The nubuck finish is obtained by brushing the leather surface against the grain, breaking the specular reflection typical of polished alligator. The result is a velvety texture, soft to the touch, with a blue that appears deeper and less formal. On the wrist, it’s a more understated choice — but no less refined.
Is the nubuck surface more delicate than polished alligator?
The matte finish is generally more sensitive to water and surface scratches compared to polished leather, which has a more compact protective layer. It’s advisable to avoid prolonged contact with moisture and to treat the strap occasionally with a product specific to matte leathers. How do you choose the right size between 20, 21, and 22mm?
The correct measurement is the lug width of your watch — the point where the strap inserts into the case. The width at the buckle loop (16mm or 18mm) is that of the buckle, already proportioned for each size. If you’re unsure of your lug width, simply measure the space between the two lugs with a caliper.
