The Louisiana alligator does not ask for permission. Its character is etched in its scales — each scale is unique, each span of skin tells a different position on the animal's back. The matte finish softens the contrast, returning a deep black that does not reflect light: sober, almost severe, exactly as befits the wrist of someone wearing a Patek Philippe.
The tanning is Tuscan, carried out according to traditional methods in workshops that have been processing the most demanding leathers on the market for generations. The result is a leather that feels dense and characterful to the touch — it does not give way immediately, but adapts over time to the shape of the wrist without losing structure. The stainless steel insert ensures a clean profile at the lugs, a detail that on a watch like the Nautilus is not ornamental: it is necessary.

Yes, it is designed for 26mm lugs, the same as the Nautilus. At the buckle it tapers to 18mm. Please check it against your watch before ordering, though.
How thick is it, does it feel stiff on the wrist?
It is 2.5mm thick. Alligator leather has density, so it does not give immediately to the touch. With use it adapts to the wrist, but it keeps its structure.
