The integrated lug design of the Aquanaut is an intrinsic part of the case architecture: a standard spring-bar strap is not compatible with this proprietary geometry. A bespoke strap is entirely possible, built directly on the watch by <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, where the master craftsman takes the actual measurements of the case before any work begins.

In the atelier, the craftsman places the watch on the workbench and records the precise geometry of the lugs, the lateral profile and the curvature radius. The strap is then constructed to those exact measurements, without adapting any pre-existing format. The finished piece integrates with the case with the same visual continuity as the original bracelet, without any mechanical stress or aesthetic compromise.

The rose gold of the 5068R pairs naturally with hand-patinated box calf in cognac or tobacco tones, whose tight grain echoes the compactness of the embossed dial. Mississippi alligator in sand or ivory offers a more contemporary luminous contrast, while shades such as bordeaux or moss green reflect the sporty-elegant vocation of the Aquanaut line. The choice depends on intended use and the wearer's wardrobe palette.

A strap built with first-grade leathers, hand-sewn stitching and carefully finished edges can accompany a watch for many years, developing over time a personal patina that enhances its character. Longevity depends on the leather chosen, frequency of use and daily care: a well-maintained alligator strap, treated with appropriate products, retains its structure and sheen well beyond ten years of regular wear.

The 5068R-001 is the feminine iteration of the Aquanaut, designed with its own proportions rather than being a scaled-down version of the men's model, and crafted in 18-carat rose gold. The calibre 324 S C is an in-house automatic movement with date indication, combining everyday reliability with the construction quality that defines Patek Philippe. The embossed tropical-chequerboard dial creates a direct visual dialogue with the composite bracelet, making this piece immediately recognisable without reading the brand name.
