The Heritage

The Pershing 005, designed by Michel Parmigiani, features an ergonomic tonneau case of 45mm with integrated lugs that flow seamlessly into the bracelet. This Swiss haute horlogerie timepiece represents contemporary reinterpretation of classic watchmaking traditions. The complex case geometry requires bespoke customization by Atelier Casati Milano.
Made to Measure

The strap for this watch is made to measure

On the Parmigiani Fleurier Pershing the bracelet is drawn as part of the case: no catalogue strap will fit. In the atelier we take the measurements on the watch itself and build the strap on the piece — that is the work of Casati Milano.

FAQ

Can I fit a standard strap on the Parmigiani Fleurier Pershing PFC5280010301X01402?

No, the bracelet is integrated into the case. The attachment is not a standard industrial lug — you cannot simply clip on a commercial strap. If you want a strap, I build one directly onto the watch, bespoke, at the atelier.

How does the bespoke strap work for the Pershing?

Come to Casati Milano, by appointment. I measure directly from the case, study the tonneau geometry and the path of the integrated lugs. Then I construct the strap piece by piece, because every detail must fit without forcing.

Which leather do you recommend for the Pershing?

I prefer Mississippi Alligator. This Pershing has a strong, sporty character — it deserves leather that ages with authority, not leather that fades. Alligator keeps its grip, the texture stays alive after years, and it tells the story of wear without losing elegance.

How long does a well-made strap last?

Five to ten years, depending on how much you wear it and how you care for it. Quality leather ages, it doesn't just wear out: it develops a patina that tells time. If you clean it occasionally and don't soak it every day, the material improves. When it finally wears through, I can return to fit it with a new terminal.

Why does the Pershing require such particular strap work?

Because Michel Parmigiani designed this case as architecture: the tonneau curve, the sculpted flanks, the lugs that flow naturally. It's not casual. It means the strap cannot be a generic solution — it must respect that geometry millimetre by millimetre, or the watch loses the point of what it is.
