The Heritage
The strap for this watch is made to measure
On the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso the bracelet is drawn as part of the case: no catalogue strap will fit. In the atelier we take the measurements on the watch itself and build the strap on the piece — that is the work of Casati Milano.

Can a standard strap be fitted to the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso 2323425?
No. The bracelet is integrated into the case and the attachment is proprietary: a standard strap has no way of connecting. The only option is a bespoke strap built around the actual case. I do this in the atelier, with the watch on the bench, not from drawings.
How does the bespoke service work for this Reverso?
I work by appointment only at Casati Milano, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, take measurements directly from the reversible case, and build an attachment that respects the original geometry. No approximations — every millimetre is checked by hand.
Which leather do I recommend for the Reverso in white gold?
I recommend Mississippi crocodile in slate grey or midnight blue. The Reverso has a very precise Art Déco structure — straight lines, sharp angles — and a leather with a regular grain and a restrained colour respects that rather than fighting it. Barenia is another choice I appreciate: it ages well and pairs naturally with white gold without overpowering it.
How long does a well-made strap last?
With quality leather and basic care, I count on at least eight to ten years of regular use. The key is keeping it away from water and letting it breathe — I always rotate at least two straps. Barenia, for instance, does not degrade with time; it transforms, and after a few years it tells a story.
Was the Reverso really designed for polo? What does that mean today?
Yes, the 1931 design was entirely practical: protect the dial by flipping the case during play. Today that function has become something else — the caseback can be engraved with a text, a dedication, something private. It is a detail I find honest: a mechanism born for utility that becomes a personal gesture.
The next step
