The Heritage

The G-Shock Mudmaster GG-1000 is a rugged field tool watch featuring the brand's Triple Sensor technology, designed to withstand mud, dust, and extreme vibrations. It combines a brutalist architecture of resin and steel with a 55mm case diameter, embodying Japanese engineering for demanding environments. Custom strap solutions are available through specialized artisan services that accommodate the watch's integrated, non-standard lug system.
Made to Measure

The strap for this watch is made to measure

On the Casio Mudmaster the bracelet is drawn as part of the case: no catalogue strap will fit. In the atelier we take the measurements on the watch itself and build the strap on the piece — that is the work of Casati Milano.

FAQ

Can you fit a standard strap to the Casio Mudmaster GG-1000-1A5?

No, the bracelet is integrated into the case with a proprietary attachment system that doesn't accept standard straps. I've seen many DIY attempts that damage the case geometry. The correct solution is to have a custom strap built directly at the atelier.

How does the custom strap system work for the Mudmaster?

I work only at Casati Milano, by appointment. I take measurements directly from the case and study the integrated attachment with precision, then craft an interface that respects the original shape. No forcing, no compromises.

Which leather would you recommend for the Mudmaster?

I prefer Tuscan Leather with vegetable tanning, in Burnt Earth or Black. A watch built for mud and dust deserves a leather that ages honestly, developing patina over time. Vegetable-tanned leather is alive, it breathes, it adapts to your wrist.

How long does a well-made strap last?

With ordinary care, between 4 and 8 years depending on use. Leather isn't immortal, but it ages telling a story. A Tuscan Leather strap should dry naturally when wet, never under direct heat. Over time it develops a beautiful patina.

Why does the Mudmaster have such a massive case?

Casio designed this architecture for the Triple Sensor: compass, altimeter, thermometer. The resin and steel mass protects the sensors from extreme vibration and harsh environments. It's not just aesthetics—it's function. A custom strap must honour this instrumental logic, not deny it.
