The Heritage
The strap for this watch is made to measure
On the Casio Mudmaster the bracelet is drawn as part of the case: no catalogue strap will fit. In the atelier we take the measurements on the watch itself and build the strap on the piece — that is the work of Casati Milano.

Can you fit a standard strap on the Casio Mudmaster GG-1000-1A3?
No, the bracelet is integrated into the case with a proprietary Casio attachment system. A standard strap will not connect. What I do in the atelier is build a bespoke strap directly onto the case, shaping the connection interface to match the exact geometry of your watch.
How does a bespoke strap work for the Mudmaster?
I work exclusively at Casati Milano, by appointment only. I measure the proprietary lugs directly from the case, then craft the strap by hand according to your specifications. It's the only proper way to do it with this model.
Which leather do you recommend for this watch?
I prefer Tuscan vegetable-tanned leather: it ages beautifully and handles humidity and sweat well — things a tactical watch encounters regularly. If you want something lighter and more sportive, NATO fabric from regenerated yarn gives refinement without sacrificing the robustness the Mudmaster deserves.
How long does a well-made strap last?
With the right leather and basic care, three or four years of hard use without issue. Tuscan leather ages elegantly: it softens, the colour mellows, creases become part of its story. Simple maintenance — letting it dry properly, avoiding water pooling — extends its life further.
Is the Mudmaster really built for extreme environments?
Yes, it was designed for mud, dust, vibrations — conditions where traditional watches fail. I've seen these watches return intact from situations that would destroy most other timepieces. That's why the strap must match: it needs to be handsome, yes, but it must go anywhere the watch goes.
