How long does a leather strap last on a Breitling Galactic?
The lifespan of a leather strap depends on the quality of the tanning process and daily use. A high-quality vegetable-tanned strap, properly maintained with leather conditioner every 3–4 months and kept away from heat sources, can last 3–5 years while retaining structural and aesthetic integrity. Shell cordovan, thanks to the density of its fibres, typically lasts over 5 years and develops a distinctive patina over time.
