The El Primero was introduced by Zenith in 1969 as one of the first automatic chronograph movements in the world. The model is equipped with the El Primero 4061 caliber with a column-wheel system, which offers hours, minutes, small seconds and chronograph functions. The mechanics use a column-wheel system to control the chronograph functions.
