Strap for Modello Uno U1 Classic

The Modello Uno features a 22mm lug width, a carefully considered dimension that echoes Italian classical watchmaking proportions. Always measure between the inner extremities of the lugs before purchasing an aftermarket strap.

We primarily recommend vegetable-tanned Tuscan leather, which engages naturally with the minimalist satinised case. The leather develops authentic patina parallel to the steel's oxidation. Versatile alternative: cotton or linen NATO straps for casual wear, or alligator for discrete elegance.

The Modello Uno features standard lugs with straight spring bar passages. Use a spring bar tool to gently remove the spring bars securing the original strap. Align the new strap's holes with the lugs and reinsert the spring bars—they are retractable and will click into position with gentle pressure. Avoid forcing, which may scratch the steel lugs.

A quality Tuscan leather strap with vegetable tanning withstands 3-5 years of moderate daily use. Wrist friction, perspiration and sunlight accelerate natural ageing.
