Strap for Modello Uno U1-ENN

The lug width of the Unimatic Modello Uno U1-EMN is 22mm. This measurement represents the distance between the two lugs connecting the case to the strap and determines compatibility with aftermarket straps. Measurement is performed by positioning a digital calliper perpendicularly to the case, between the lug shoulders.

The U1-EMN suits multiple strap solutions. For elegant wear, alligator leather or vegetable-tanned calf represent the most refined choices. For tactical contexts or marine environments, NATO straps in regenerated fibres guarantee durability and reversibility. FKM rubber offers chromatic stability and absolute chemical resistance. Selection depends on predominant use context and desired colour palette.

The U1-EMN strap is changed by removing the two spring bars connecting the strap to the lugs. Use a dedicated tool to push the lateral catch inward and slide the bar outward. After removal, slide the new strap onto the bars and reinsert them into the lugs, ensuring the catch is positioned correctly.

All straps with 22mm lug width are compatible with the U1-EMN. This standardisation enables extensive selection: from artisanal leather straps to NATO solutions, from technical rubbers to fabric straps. The absence of case modifications guarantees total investment reversibility and no damage to the original watch structure.

Leather strap durability depends on specific material and usage intensity. A vegetable-tanned calf, used daily under normal conditions, maintains structural functionality for 18-24 months. Alligator, thanks to its superior fibre density, can last 3-4 years. Exposure to humidity, direct heat and anomalous traction sources significantly reduce longevity. Regular maintenance (dusting, conditioning every 6 months) substantially extends useful life.
