The Sinn 1011.010 features a lug width (ansa) of exactly 22mm. This measurement is standard for diving watches of this generation and ensures compatibility with a broad range of specialised straps. Measurement is taken between the internal vertices of the case lugs: a 22mm strap will fit with a tolerance of ±0.5mm, ensuring precise fitting without play.

Selection depends on intended usage. For elegant configurations, alligator leather with vegetable tanning in black or dark brown creates sophisticated contrast with the stainless steel case. For dedicated diving and humidity resistance, robust calf leather with hydrophobic treatment offers superior durability. Technically finished grey smoke leather represents a modern compromise between aesthetics and performance. For reliable grip on wet surfaces, vulcanised natural rubber remains unbeatable.

Strap replacement requires a spring bar tool (plastic or steel lever supplied with the strap). Position the tool in the groove of the spring bar seat, apply gentle pressure to compress the internal spring, then extract the bar. Repeat on the opposite side. The new 22mm strap is installed by reversing the procedure: align the strap holes with the lugs, then snap the bars into position with gentle compression movement.
