Strap for Nautilus 7118 Stainless Steel / White
Integrated bracelet: measurements, the most common questions, and the way to a made-to-measure strap.
Integrated bracelet
The Patek Philippe Nautilus 7118/1A-011 is designed with a bracelet integrated into the case. For a compatible made-to-measure strap, the Casati Milano atelier builds it on your watch.

Frequently asked questions
Can a standard strap be fitted to the Patek Philippe Nautilus 7118/1A-011?
No. The bracelet is integrated into the case with a proprietary attachment: no aftermarket strap fits directly. This is a deliberate design decision by Patek Philippe, not a limitation. That is why I always work with the watch in the atelier, building the attachment from scratch to measure.
How does the bespoke strap service work for this Nautilus?
Everything goes through Casati Milano, by appointment only, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, take measurements directly from the case, and shape every component of the attachment by hand. I do not work from photographs or technical sheets: I need the watch in front of me.
Which leather do I recommend for this Nautilus?
For the 7118/1A-011 I prefer Barenia. It is a leather that ages with the person wearing it, developing a personal patina that no other material can replicate. The Nautilus has a dual character — sporting by day, elegant by evening — and Barenia follows that same trajectory without forcing anything.
How long does a well-made strap last?
With ordinary care, a quality leather strap lasts between five and eight years. Simply keep it away from prolonged exposure to water and condition the leather each season with a neutral conditioner. Good leather does not deteriorate: it transforms, and over time it tells a story.
Why is the Nautilus design so difficult to complement?
Gérald Genta drew a case with a porthole geometry and broken lines that impose very precise architectural proportions. Any element added — strap, attachment — must respect those proportions, otherwise the visual balance breaks down. I have seen poor pairings completely ruin the reading of the case. That is why I never make a strap for this watch without having it in front of me.
The next step
The right strap isn't chosen. It is built, together.
From the atelier appointment to delivery, every step is made for those who know that things done well take time. Rare leathers, one piece at a time, eighteen months of warranty.
