Strap for Nautilus 5711 Platinum - Baguette / Grey
Integrated bracelet: measurements, the most common questions, and the way to a made-to-measure strap.
Integrated bracelet
The Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/110P-001 is designed with a bracelet integrated into the case. For a compatible made-to-measure strap, the Casati Milano atelier builds it on your watch.

Frequently asked questions
Can a standard strap be fitted to the Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/110P-001?
No. The bracelet is integrated into the case with a proprietary attachment: no off-the-shelf strap will fit. It is a deliberate design decision, made by Gérald Genta in 1976. At the atelier I build the strap to measure directly on the watch, studying the geometry of the lug system piece by piece.
How does the bespoke strap service work for this Nautilus?
I work by appointment only at Casati Milano, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. Bring the watch: I take measurements directly from the case — no templates, no approximations. Every attachment is hand-shaped to follow the exact curve of the case back and integrated lugs.
Which leather would you recommend for this model?
For a watch with this character — sporting at heart, refined in its materials — I choose Mississippi Alligator with wide symmetrical scales. The broad scale pattern holds the visual rhythm of the dial's horizontal lines without overpowering them. If you want something that ages with you, Barenia is the other path: it starts understated and over time develops a presence all its own.
How long does a well-made strap last?
A properly crafted Alligator or Barenia strap lasts between five and ten years of regular wear, sometimes longer. Care matters: keep it away from water and out of direct sunlight when not worn. Barenia in particular does not simply age — it transforms, and after a few years it looks better than the day it left the atelier.
Why does the Nautilus remain so relevant nearly fifty years on?
Genta drew a case that needs nothing added to it. The porthole shape, the integrated lugs, the horizontal ribs of the dial: everything folds back on itself with rare coherence. I have seen many sport watches come through the bench over the years — very few have that ability to feel contemporary without ever having been truly redesigned. This 5711/110P-001 in platinum with a glacier blue dial takes that same structure to its most distilled point.
