The fitting is proprietary, designed by Patek Philippe to merge seamlessly with the case. If you want to wear this watch on leather, the only option is a bespoke strap made directly on the watch itself.

I make the strap at <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, by appointment only, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, take measurements from the actual case — not from technical datasheets — and shape the fittings by hand until the join is invisible. I won't send out a strap without having seen the watch in person.

On a white gold Nautilus, with its hybrid character between sporty and formal, I prefer grey pearl Mississippi alligator with a matte finish. The grey holds its own against the white gold without overpowering it, and the matte finish balances the metal's shine. It's a combination I've seen work very well on the wrist — not just in theory.
